News and Upcoming School Events

Ken Yu Kan Karate School has many upcoming events for our students and school families. Refer to this page to find out about upcoming tournaments, promotion testing, school functions and other school related information.

We will also be posting news bulletins or other pertinent information regarding the school, its students, its instructors, or the Master. The calendar will also list these items as well. Make sure you print out the school calendar each month for easy reference.

Kyu Test  3/22/10  (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
This is a grading for kujyu through ikyu (colored belts, 9th kyu through 1st kyu). Children's class to test at 6:00 PM, adults at 7:00 PM. Public is invited, still cameras and video cameras OK.

Test Results & Critique  3/24/10  (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
Students will receive their test results and critique.

Belt Rank Promotion Ceremonies  3/29/10  (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
These are formal belt rank promotion ceremonies for those who have passed their test. Children's class starts at 6:00 PM, adults at 7:00 PM. All students, regardless of test results are required to attend. Public is invited. Still cameras and video cameras OK.

Dan (Black Belt) Test  6/1/10  (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
This is a closed (private) test for candidates chosen by Sensei Croft to test for Shodan or higher.
